I appreciate it very much.
The proposed organization for chapter & sections seems OK to me.
I know I've argued for big-endian naming conventions, but factorial_double
seems just too clumsy. Better double_factorial in this case, I think.
My preference is to organize individual topics as follows:
* start with a 1-sentence summary
* list properties of the function in order of decreasing importance
* make statements in present tense (avoid future tense),
active voice (avoid passive)
* when suitable, make references to published literature
* start examples section with "Examples:"
* in examples, recapitulate the points mentioned in the description;
no additional exposition in the examples
* list of documentation categories at end
