Hello,
I've tagged version-5_17_1 in cvs and built source & binary rpm
packages and uploaded them to the SF file manager.
Rpms are built with Clisp as before.
Differences wrt 5.17.0: html documentation was generated
incorrectly, should be OK now; build problems w/ ECL mostly
resolved, I hope; and some minor bug fixes.
In hope of making the SF file manager less confusing, I've created
two new packages, Maxima-source and Maxima-Linux, and put the
new files in there (instead of putting them all into the Maxima package).
When a Windows installer is created, would someone please create
a new package Maxima-Windows and upload the installer to that.
run_testsuite reports no unexpected errors, and on-line documentation
and plotting seem to work. Errors are reported by batch(share_testsuite);
I'm going to let it go, as before. Of course if someone can fix the
share testsuite erorrs that would be very good.
If there don't appear to be any serious problems w/ 5.17.1, I'll make
a general announcement.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this release.
best
Robert Dodier
