about Maxima 5.17

Hello, a couple of question.

(1) There is now a Windows installer for 5.17.1 at the SF project site.
Any reports of success or failure?

(2) Barring unknown problems, the one installation problem that I know
about is that the affine package doesn't work.
Should there be a 5.17.2 to fix that? I am inclined to skip it.
