Google Summer of Code is accepting applications for mentoring
organizations next week (March 9--13). See: http://code.google.com/soc/
I applied on behalf of the Maxima project for the last few
years but never got anywhere. I encourage someone else
to try it. Go nuts! I don't remember what I put on the application,
but I suppose it doesn't matter except to serve as an example
of what not to do.
My advice is to put something about Python in the application.
That seems to make the Google crowd just fall all over themselves.
Ha ha, only serious. 8^)
