I can reproduce this observation:
I found Windows registry entries
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\wxMaxima\RecentDocuments\document_0
and
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-842925246-1614895754-839522115-
1000\Software\wxMaxima\RecentDocuments\document_0
It's value is E:\Temp\wxm518.wxm and if I change it to e.g. E:\Temp\wx082.wxm then I
only can load E:\Temp\wx082.wxm.
