Hi!
Going through Maxima help I've noticed there are some more advanced
methods like 'timer' and friends, however I would still like to see
$timing included (because of it's simple usage). In the file attached
'timing.lisp' there is the actual function in lisp and also texi help
entry written by me. I think I don't have CVS permissions and even if
I did, I don't know into which file in /src I would put the function
(the organisation of these source files is rather chaotic - would be
nice if maxima functions were grouped in lisp files, for instance:
listmanipulation.lisp, debugging.lisp arraymanipulation.lisp and so
on - I guess everbody agrees but nobody likes to reorganise old code)...
The texi help fits into Debugging.texi, though.
If any of the developers would include this function into maxima cvs,
it would be very nice! (It's documented, small and works nicely.)
Regards,
Ziga Lenarcic
