Not connected to maxima!

Hi,

I have installed maxima_5.18.1-1_Clisp_i386.deb and
wxmaxima_0.8.2-1_i386.deb in xubuntu 8.04. maxima works fine but
wxmaxima launch the error message: Not connected to maxima!

Can anybody help me?
