Mockmma

1. I am not a lawyer.
2. If you call something by your own name, e.g. Monroe-translator, you
may be pretty safe.
3. If you establish some other name that no one else is using, someone
will have difficulty depriving you of its use.
4. The name Mathematica was (and maybe still is) owned by Princeton, NY
(USA) corporation and was purchased by Wolfram.
5. The name Mathematica (Latin for Mathematics) is part of the name of
hundreds of journals.

6. If anyone should object, it would be me, that you are using MockMMA
(the name I made up) for something that
  (a) has a different goal from the my software, and might be confused
with it (especially since you include my MockMMA in your project!)
  (b) in my opinion, cannot achieve your own stated goal except in
trivial cases.

7. If you wish to use another name, (and I think this is probably not a
bad idea) I suggest you pick something that is easy to spell, remember,
and pronounce.

If you want a name for a program which is supposed to translate from
Mathematica source code to Macsyma (or Maxima)
source code, I suggest
mahatma
matomax
aconitum (genus of flower wolfbane)

I do not, of course, object to your using my software.
