command line options? would it be compatible if the only option was to
read specifications from a file [or not]?
I have never used command line options myself in xmaxima wxmaxima, ...
Back in the day... we used to have ALL the tools in Lisp, and we didn't
run make, or perl scripts or any of that other stuff.
Also, I thought that some important options (like making larger stack??)
in GCL required recompiling, anyway.
