Maxima by Example, Chapter 1, Introduction to Maxima
now has "More Bounce per Ounce".
Chapter 1 has been completely restructured, rewritten, and
retitled in order to provide a better introduction to this series of notes.
Note that the name of the pdf file has been changed to mbe1intro.pdf.

Much of the old ch. 2, 3, and half of ch. 4 appears in streamlined
form in the new ch. 1. Many examples discussed on the Maxima
mailing list appear in disguised form in Ch. 1.

Ch. 2 is likewise totally restructured and rewritten, but
not yet posted, and will be "Two Dimensional Plots and
Least Squares Fits".
Ch. 3, likewise rewritten, will be "Ordinary Differential Equations".
The new Ch. 4 will probably be "Fun with Matrices".
