Hi Geert,
Just back in town and checking my email.
Since the .mac files are text files, I suggest
you use the Vista route to changing file
associations, so that notepad2 (or something
else) opens a .mac file when you left click on
the name.
On Windows XP, you use Control Panel,
Folder Options, File types, and make sure
"opens with" is a text editor (and not MacPaint
Image, which is my default for Win XP).
Alternatively or in combination, right click
the mac file link on my webpage, and choose
"Save Target As" (using Internet Explorer), or
"Save Link As" (using Mozilla), which bypasses
the issue of file association as far as downloading
is concerned.
As to a separate download section, I guess you
mean a set of links you can drag over easily to
get everything? I am considering combining
each chapter's pdf file with the mac files, code
files, etc into one zip file for each chapter, and
perhaps I could have links to these zip files also
in a special section near the bottom of my
page?
Best Wishes,
Ted
