I built the latest ECL on Solaris 10 update 7 on a SPARC sun4u system.
Version 9.8.1 of ECL is available from the ECL downloads page, despite
the web page saying the latest is 9.7.1.

I built Maxima 5.19.0 too. Both appeared to work in Sage. I don't know
how to use Sage properly (I'm just trying to help the port to Solaris),
but I managed a couple of integrals ok.

I'm about to try this on a sun4v system (a Sun T5240). We have had a
couple of problems on the sun4v machine. One of which was caused by a
bug in Solaris (confirmed by Sun).

Vladimir Bondarenko reported a bug to me some time back in Sage, which I
gather might be a Maxima bug. I was hoping 5.19.0 would fix it, but it
appears not to. The actual error message comes from Sage, not directly
from Maxima, but you should be able to see what I mean.

exp(-x^i).integral(x,0,1) returns

Is %i an integer?

PS. I think it would be preferable if the return address to emails sent
to the maxima list was automatically back to the Maxima list, not to the
person that posted the message.
