Try this: open a command window, then try to start maxima from
the command prompt. If there is an error, you'll be able to see it
since the command window will stay open.
Try entering just "maxima" first. If that gives you "command not found"
then try to locate the maxima.bat script and either enter the whole path
or cd to the directory in which maxima.bat lives and enter "maxima" there.
