I think that is mymatrix[3,2] is not mymatrix[3][2].
(%i7) A:matrix([1,2],[3,4],[5,6]);
A[3,2];
A[2,1];
(%o7) matrix([1,2],[3,4],[5,6])
(%o8) 6
(%o9) 3
