Using XEmacs with maxima mode and syntax highlighting, I can cause XEmacs
to freeze up by
(1) type "abc(x) := "
(2) backspace and delete the "cb" from "abc" (an attempt to change the
function name from abc to a.
You will be greeted with whirring disks and an unresponsive XEmacs. I'm
using XEmacs 21.4 patch 13
"Rational FORTRAN", May 2003 -- it's old, maybe I need a newer XEmacs?
