Problem/s with build ( 5.19.2) on Deb.Lenny

The configure script did not build a successful Makefile with target 'all'
it seems. I suspect that this is because automake is missing.

By default, Lenny does not include autotools, even with build-essential,
so you will need to install it (installing automake will bring in the needed packages).

Other lisps available from the Debian repos include cmucl, clisp and sbcl.
Stay away from gcl-2.6.7 in the repos, although gcl-2.6.8 is available from
cvs and can be built with a few tweaks (available by searching the Maxima list).
I use all of them, but I find cmucl is speedy and stable.

Please report back in all cases.
