Maxima on MAC

In addition to Harald's suggestions, here are a few more.
When you installed Maxima, you will have installed XMaxima also.
This is a gui frond-end for Maxima. You can also run Maxima in Emacs,
using either maxima-mode or imaxima. Maxima-mode is a fairly basic
front-end, while imaxima has the advantage that it typesets Maxima's
output via LaTeX, so the output generally looks quite nice.
