I was randomly writing a blog entry today when I looked up the "Law of
The Wall" on Wikipedia. This is a concept in fluid mechanics of
turbulent flows. The wikipedia article pointed me to a ten year old
paper on deriving turbulent flow solutions via Lie symmetry analysis.

It offers a description of a variety of symmetry group software packages
developed in the late 1990's and then a description of the use of a
particular package SIMMGROUP.MAX, a version of which is available here
from Professor Hereman's page.
