No, I'm not sure what you're getting at.

Here is what I get:

(%i6) ?t;
(%o6) ?t
(%i7) ?t/t;
(%o7) ?t/t
(%i8) ?t/?t;
(%o8) 1

(I hope that came out ok. %o6 should be a delta and t as one symbol. %o7
kind of shows that it is because delta t/t is not delta.)
