How about to rename Maxima?



The letter to Bill Schelter from the US Dept of Energy says..

Dear Dr. Schelter:

RE: DOE-MACSYMA

This is in reply to your request of September 17, 1998, requesting a 
license to prepare and distribute derivative works from the copy of 
DOE-MACSYMA software obtained from the NESC. ...
etc...

So the name of the program is DOE-Macsyma.

We are free to invent another name, like SymaCas, but that does not help 
the people who want to find
references to Macsyma or DOE-Macsyma or the computer algebra system 
Maxima derived from
DOE-Macsyma.

In tribute to the late Leslie Neilsen, we could call it Shirley..
