Error in Gnuplot??

Hi,
I suppose, the new Maxima (5.23.0) contains an erroneous version of 
Gnuplot (version 4.4).
The following command lets Gnuplot crash (at least under Windows XP):

draw2d(color=red,explicit(sin(x),x,0,2*%pi),terminal=eps,file_name="test");

Has anybody noticed similar effects?
