You're certainly free to start a Twitter feed or whatever it's called
for Maxima. The good news is that Maxima is not very strongly
organized. If you feel like doing something, you don't have to
get anybody's approval about it, you can just start doing it.
Have at it! The bad news is that you'll have to get other people
interested to contribute or take over when you can't or don't
want to handle it anymore.
