Update Sourceforge site?

I don't know how to do it.  My point is that the website should be
updated on a regular basis, at least enough to say that this is NOT
the 'latest version' and how to get it if you can't (by pointing to
the source page and some instructions).

Otherwise (say) a Mac user who knows zero about compiling, or even
that there is such a thing as compiling, will have to download Sage
4.7 when it comes out in order to get Maxima 5.23.2.
