Hi,
if you are going to use Maxima and recommend it to your customers, you
do not have to worry about that. Your company is not going to distribute
Maxima directly, is it? If your customers get the software from Maxima's
site or from a software distribution such as Ubuntu, your company will
not be bound by those restrictions. We at Maxima do not have any lawyers
to give us advice but Ubuntu, Debian and FSF do, and they say that the
distribution of Maxima is not restricted by any U.S. Export Regulations
("may require license for export" does not apply in this case).
