The package at the sourceforge site contains Maxima compiled with
sbcl. If you double-click on Maxima.app, maxima is executed in a
terminal.
The problem with xmaxima.sh is a bug, I will fix it for the next
version. But xmaxima does not work well with OS X anyway.
