Thank you for the report.  I think there is a fix for this.  I will 
investigate and make a new windows release if possible.

I think that the problem is due to an incompatibility with gnuplot-2.6.  
If so, copying the gnuplot subdirectory from an older maxima release 
should work around the problem.  Copying gnuplot/bin from gnuplot-2.4 to 
the gnuplot subdirectory in maxima-5.27 should also work.
