Come on, it only took 6 months for your patch to be handled (...after
the problem turned up on the mailing list as well, apparently)! ;-)
Anyway, if that's the preferred way for (non-trivial?) patches (which
I'm not likely to submit any time soon), I think it would be nice to
have a pointer somewhere. The places I would have expected to find it
was the web site (perhaps have a Contribute link from the left
subsection menu) or README.developers-howto. Maybe it's supposed to be
obvious from the fact that Maxima uses Sourceforge? I still think
stating it explicitly somewhere wouldn't hurt.
