Crashing issue in wxMaxima-12.04.0 on OS X.

The wxMaxima SourceForge forum keeps catching my attempts to post in its
"Spam Net", so I thought I'd try here.

The issue occurs in my Fink builds of wxMaxima-12.04.0, on multiple Mac
OS X versions.  Currently I'm building against wxWdigets-2.9.4--though
this has been occurring all along when using any wxWidgets-2.9.x
version.  All of the builds are single-architecture.

When I enter a '(', ')', '[', or ']' in the Expression field for any
menu item, wxMaxima immediately crashes.

Has anybody else on OS X seen this?  Is there a pre-release patch that
I'm missing, either in wxWidgets or wxMaxima ?
