changing the constant inside the sin() with a symbolic constant
enables maxima to solve this?!?!?!?
This input runs fine:
facts();
assume(a0>0);
assume(a1>0);
assume(a2>0);
assume(a3>0);
v(t):=a1*t+a2*t^2+a3*t^3;
rest(t):=(sin(a0*t)-v(t))^2;
integrate(rest(t), t);
