Agreed, nicely done, and nicely explained. I definitely have learned a
lot by similar examples from the mailing list, but would love to see a
section on the wiki with examples of this sort preferably with a nice
easy-to-find link from the wiki front page to the examples section.
As a suggestion, perhaps a page that lists links to examples grouped by
"type" (algebra, calculus, pattern matching, factoring, whatever) and
only one or two examples on a page, so that any given example can be
easily followed.
I would be willing to spend a little time setting this up if people were
willing to post links to similar examples from the maxima mailing list
archives here in this thread.
