Dear Adam, dear Maxima-users,
of course. Until now, no package (except help_package) contains
printable documentation.
But if you look for example in the source of the distrib-package, the
documentation DOES already exist in the package as a comment
(http://maxima.git.sourceforge.net/git/gitweb.cgi?p=maxima/maxima;a=blob;f=share/distrib/distrib.mac).
By just adding a few lines, that mark, where the documentation starts
and ends one can enable it - for example for that package:
http://wolfgang.dautermann.at/maxima/help_package.mac
