Mailing list for commits not working?

I noticed that the mailing list for commits hasn't received any messages
since Nov 17 or so.  I also got the following message when I pushed some
changes just now:

remote: <Repository /nfs/sf-git/m/ma/maxima/code.git> refresh queued.
remote: *** hooks.mailinglist is not set so no email will be sent
remote: *** for refs/heads/master update
d20c5d6b4b1d0289cdc1fac368b11bc7157cc551->7eb8cc0

Anyone remember how to get the mailing list working?
