Thanks for your answers.
> file_search(foobar) returns the path of foobar, which must be something
>     in file_search_maxima
is it possible to add a wildcard in the path name something like this :

pathlist:["/tempo/test/**/"]$
resu:file_search("f.mac",pathlist)$
display(resu)$

This doesn't work for me (wxmaxima 12.04.0, maxima 5.28.0-2, GCL 2.6.8)
