cannot load /usr/share/wxmaxima/wxmathml.lisp

Hello.

This is on gentoo linux, with Maxima 5.29.1 using Lisp ECL 12.12.1, and
wxMaxima 12.09.0. I have also installed the jsMath fonts.

Lately, when trying to use wxMaxima, I get this error as soon as I enter
input and hit Ctrl+Enter:

loadfile: failed to load /usr/share/wxmaxima/wxmathml.lisp

I tried deinstalling wxmaxima and reinstalling it, but the error persists.

How can I solve this?
