It probably depends on what exactly you wanted to do. It would be tedious
and/or irksome to try to do a lot of Maxima stuff from within Sage if you
were depending on very specific Maxima functionality (instead of sticking
with one or the other); but for exploration this would probably be a good
solution if you did need Maxima (rather than Sage) commands.
I would imagine that someone with a good background in developing web apps
would be able to do some Javascript magic to make this work with a
web-based frontend to Maxima.
