Ah, I see. I didn't realise that was possible before. I'll make the
relevant changes to unbreak that. Thank you very much for tracking this

It's probably the include vs. -include trick I found. There's a bit of
an explanation in the commit message for b69adbd4 (the second last
commit, at the moment)
