Subject: load(draw) is very slow (takes about 13 seconds)

I agree. If you can't do batch("rtest_draw.mac", test) with comparable
results it is not a real test file. It makes sense to me to skip the
batch version.
Consequently I am inclined to think that the file should not be named
rtest_draw.mac which suggested me at first sight that
batch("rtest_draw.mac", test) will run a test.
