@var just became @mvar in the texinfo documentation

Hmm. I guess I don't know enough about Texinfo to have a strong opinion
about this. Looking harder, maybe we can use "@unmacro var" to silence
the warning. But it seems odd to me to forgo the use Texinfo's built in
@var?

Anyway, if someone else wants to back out the relevant changes and try
out the @unmacro approach, feel free (obviously!). Otherwise I'll try to
do it by the weekend.

Since I've written all of about 100 lines of Texinfo documentation, I'm
definitely not qualified to have an opinion on its correct usage! :-)
