Plot2d error

Dear All,
since version 28, inclusive,the plot2d  command ( with mode gnuplot ) prints two
images, one above the other.
This happens in wxmaxima and xmaxima, in Windows,  but not in Linux Ubuntu.
This was also noted by the author of the EulerMathToolbox.
