I agree, but I think there is a slight conflict with wxMaxima. When I
last used it (several years ago), I seem to remember that you could call
variables names like %alpha, %beta etc. to get it to display ?, ? and so
on. Neat, but conflicts with "names starting with percent denote
constants".
