I compeletely forgot to mention which versions I am using...
Maxima version: "5.30.0"
Maxima build date: "2013-08-17 09:50:56"
Host type: "i686-pc-linux-gnu"
Lisp implementation type: "CLISP"
Lisp implementation version: "2.49 (2010-07-07) (built 3542168984) (memory
35857
gnuplot: 4.6 patchlevel 3
I'm using Arch Linux.
I was viewing the svg within some browser, because the images will appear
on a web page, and all of them render small red circles. I've tried
Firefox, Chromium, Rekonq (latest versions). It iseem to be either a
problem of the rendering engine (if they use the same backend) or the
output svg is not standard-compliant.
Opening the svg with Inkscape results in blue small circles. They are no
longer red, but they are circles instead of dots.
With a pdf output I get even bigger circles, this time completely filled by
blue color (in the svg only the circumpherence is blue, the inner part is
white.
Anyway, none of these terminals produce real dots: they are somehow bigger
than expected. With the standard gnuplot terminal, or the wxt, points as
dots are just a pixel.
I've attached some the outputs of svg and pdf terminal on my system.
