Ah, thanks for the catch. This was my fault: I moved most of the install
targets across to Automake's standard ones to avoid us having lines and
lines of icky "$(INSTALL_PROGRAM) ... " commands. Unfortunately (if I
remember correctly) our clisp and SCL builds had slightly weird installs
that couldn't be expressed that way. And I didn't know about the DESTDIR
variable, so didn't notice when I accidentally dropped it.
I'll make a commit to master in a minute that puts $(DESTDIR) support
back in. It'll probably be exactly your patch, but I'll try to audit all
the other places we call $(INSTALL_SOMETHING) first.
