Please, take a look at

Fonts are not handled the same way by all terminals in Gnuplot. Perhaps 
you should also take a look at the Gnuplot documentation for more 
information.

As far as I know, there is no word on multi-line titles in the Gnuplot 
documentation. But perhaps you can write labels as a workaround. See
