Well, things I would suggest include writing up a section on the Matrix
stuff, and any of the more advanced topics discussed in the Maxima
Reference Manual - I'm not qualified to discuss things like Number
Theory, Groups, etc. If anyone wants to take a package in share and
document that for part two, that's another useful task. Basically, the
requirements are as follows - keep in mind that you are writing for
someone new to Maxima, use the emaxima package for any examples, and
make sure you are current with the latest maxima (5.6 will do for most
things, but the first formal release of this manual will probably be
with 6.0, so when the time comes we will have to check everything
against that version.) Just post whatever you want to do to the list,
so everyone knows who is working on what. The things I mentioned are
just suggestions - other topics are welcome.
