I'm sorry I missed the discussion that concluded with the TOMS ->
CERNLIB transition. Having used CERNLIB extensively, I have to say I'm
doubtful as to its suitability for translation and integration in
maxima. Has ACM been approached to release f2cl-translated TOMS code
under GPL? Could SLATEC or some other FORTRAN-77 collection be used?
What about the collection of special functions in emacs calc?
