I can't reproduce your result. It is strange since as far as I understand we both running
Maxima on very similar systems (ALT Linux I suppose).

Or move omplotdate into /usr/bin, or make symlink /usr/bin/omplotdata to actual omplotdata.

I'm back to Maxima from quite a long absence and first of all I'll try to
fresh Maxima packages based on Maxima CVS for ALT Linux Sisyphus
as soon as possible.
