hey there,
i remember a few months ago it was discovered that the (then) cvs version of
clisp broke a lot of really trivial things in maxima (due to some type
convention change if i remember correctly)...
http://www.math.utexas.edu/pipermail/maxima/2003/005141.html
i recently decided to upgrade to the latest stable release of clisp (forgetting
this) and rediscovered the problem. is there any possibility of maxima making a
release with a fix to this, as i'm sure a lot of people like myself will simply
download the latest stable of each, believing they will work well together. or
at least to "officially" release a patch to the last stable to fix this minor
inconvenience? i believe clisp 2.30 doesnt work too well either due to some
floating point bug... and 2.29 shows strain compiling with recent gcc's.
cheers,
Sam
