Getting started (on FreeBSD)



One of my students had a similar problem (he is also using FreeBSD).
His solution was to install GCL (whatever was the current GCL) 6-7
weeks ago, and then to install (i.e., compile from sources) Maxima.
No problems since. Hope this helps.
