Getting started (on FreeBSD)

Yes, thanks (to you and your student)!

The FreeBSD port uses cmucl per default, which doesn't work. I will mail
the porting team about this issue.

(BTW: I am going to install Maxima on our school's workstations now,
      since it can be used on both, Windows and FreeBSD, and we can't
      afford to buy 30 licenses of Maple, Mathematica ...)
