I think I suggested InL1 (input line 1) and OutL1 (output line 1) a
while back - to me they seem the simplest descriptive combination to
type that doesn't conflict with something basic. In and Out I think
are used in the system too much to be used (if memory serves) and
anything simpler might get used as a variable name. I don't know what
trying to use brackets would do.
Maybe some fundamental design name change is needed, but InL1 and OutL1
might at least serve in the short term. At any rate let's do
SOMETHING.
